ISSUE 080 | January 2025
I'm spending this week in Crackenback, NSW – soaking up the crisp high country air and taking a quick trip to Wildbark in Canberra for some pro bono photography with the Odonta Foundation. Exploring this landscape has been a reminder of how small steps can lead to meaningful change, whether it’s in the way we build, the choices we make for our homes, or how we approach our work.
In this issue of Three Neat Things, you’ll find ideas to help you uncover new opportunities, take inspiration from those making a difference, and see how thoughtful design can shape a more sustainable future.

In the press
The Design Files recently featured a Fitzroy North bungalow renovation dubbed ‘Chatterbox House’ by Nest Architects and Studio Esar. The design incorporates internal courtyards to enhance natural light and ventilation, and includes features such as a 5000-litre water tank, a 6kW rooftop solar system, double-glazed windows, and low-VOC paints.
